One of the things we did last weekend (and this shall be my last post on the subject of our great Canada Day weekend) was take in the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Alberta Art Gallery. It was very interesting, and contained much of his art as well as videos he had done, Polaroids he had taken, and several of his wigs! Over all it was interesting, but not out of the norm for the art gallery, what was really special was the Silver Clouds installation on the top floor! Apparently Andy Warhol was famous for having decked out his studio in silver and throwing wild parties complete with these floating silver balloons filled with helium! Add a few fans and you get a hilarious and magical experience.
We had a lot of silly fun, the best part being that we had the exhibit to ourselves for a few minutes and didn't have to worry about what other people thought of our excitement at seeing a bunch of balloons ;p
Moral of the story, if you get a chance you should check it out! Endless fun awaits!
